Description
Moonshining, or the production of illicit alcohol, has always been more common in the rural areas of the mountain regions of the mid-Atlantic and Southeastern states. Private alcohol stills were part of an industry that predated the U.S. Constitution. Various Indian tribes had been producing liquor from native plants throughout North America long before contact with European settlers. The settlers brought both their taste for homemade spirits and the skills to produce them. Regulations followed soon after. Because of the remote locations of most 19th century stills, trucks or cars were needed to transport the booze to customers. This fine art print will add a personal flare to any home, office or bar.

When I was young there were many stories about "moonshine"....v.
Steven Milner replied:
Greetings Shirley; The bottles framed in the forground, coupled with the old truck, gave me the idea of the title. I have relatives who knew a little about this type of venture and most likely know a story or two as well. Thank you for stopping in to share your thoughts and to place your vote, both efforts are very much appreciated!!! steve
